States With Zombie Deer Disease

Chronic Wasting Disease, known as the zombie deer disease, is a neurological disease in deer, elk and other herd members. There isn't a cure for the fatal disease and will affect both domestic and wild deer.

As of August 2019, CWD in free-ranging deer, elk and/or moose has been reported in at least 24 states in the continental United States, as well as two provinces in Canada.

The best defense against CWD is to separate domestic from wild deer with fencing. The deer fence height will need to be at least 7.5' and 8' heights.
