Why Install Deer Fence?

Deer fencing is recommended to gardeners for keeping deer out of gardens; but there are other reasons why homeowners choose to install a barrier on their properties.

Deer fencing is a general term - it is more like "Wildlife Fencing." Deer fencing will keep out deer as well as other animals that may destroy landscapes including rabbits, coyotes, wolves, and foxes. In addition to wildlife deterrence, pet owners choose to install high enough deer fencing to protect their pets from wildlife encounters. Deer fencing can act as dog fencing to secure dogs in yards, too.

Deer fencing should be at least 6 feet high for keeping out coyotes, wolves and foxes; but it will need to increase in height to 7.5-8' feet for deer control on lawns and gardens.

As you can see, deer fencing is not just for wildlife management but also for pet security and protection at home.
